Angel in Disguise

Glenda, a resilient woman with firm faith and determination, faced numerous challenges throughout her life. When her son fell ill, she and her husband made sacrifices, transitioning from cashier and contractual worker to tricycle driver and sari-sari store owner. Through connections and opportunities, they became dealers of ice drop and a member of SEDP, eventually serving as Center Treasurer for 8 years.

Despite setbacks like Typhoon Reming destroying their ice drop production area and the closure of their sari-sari store, leaving them reliant on their tricycle for income, Glenda persevered.

They ventured into the coconut pulp business, which eventually thrived. Tragedy struck again when her son had a fatal motorcycle accident. In her grief, she heard a mysterious voice urging her to start anew, leading to her mushroom enterprise. Government support and assistance from SEDP and DOST helped her expand her business. SEDP has been integral part of Glenda’s journey through life’s ups and downs.

With the support of SEDP, she diversified her business ventures, operating a coconut pulp business and producing and selling mushroom and pili products. She was able to send her children to school, have a better home, purchase lands, own vehicles and invest in stocks and insurance funds to prepare for retirement. She hopes SEDP will continue to extend its services and help more people. Glenda is convinced that without SEDP, her life would have remained unchanged. She is full of praise to God for all the angels He has brought into her life.
